About CAS |
The Center for Atmospheric Sciences (CAS)
is located at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. CAS is the research center for the Department of Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences.
We have a threefold focus of closely related objectives:
- fundamental research;
- education at the graduate and
undergraduate levels; and
- outreach to the public, university,
and K-12 communities.
CAS is especially devoted to increasing
the participation of minorities in the field of atmospheric
sciences. The center supports the nation's programs
in atmospheric, Earth radiation, and space sciences
and works closely with NASA as well as institutions
all around the world. |
